Hey Miss Waddington,
How exactly does double weave work? There seems to be very little imformation on the technique.

Basically, the kind of double weave that I do is two layers of warp-faced plain weave that actually form a tube. Generally, the upper layer will be one color and lower layer another. This means that you exchange colors between the layers and create patterns, for example, light motif on dark background on one layer and the reverse on the other. In that case, the layers will connect and you won’t have a tube any more. I have written a book on it. Here’s the link to it; https://www.taprootvideo.com/preview_class.jsf?iid=3&cid=15
