Hello,
I’d like to know more about traditional Wayuu motifs, but I’m finding it difficult to come across useful resources. I wonder if you could recommend a book or better still a website (or anything that would be helpful).
Thank you,
Donal

Mirja Wark has written a book about the belts that the Wayuu weavers create and details the names of the motifs and what they are said to represent. She states in the book that a lot of the information about the meaning of the motifs was obtained from other written sources. I have tried to get those publications but, so far, they have been impossible to find. So, I would say that Mirja Wark’s book is your best readily available resource.
