Wow! What an amazing experience. I’ll be looking at this blog again and again. I love the spinning shots. Thanks for including them! Ever since you showed us a picture of one of your spinner friends yarn stash, I have felt that I didn’t have enough yarn. I’ve been madly spinning,(nothing new there), trying to feel what it is like to be a spinner, weave of SA. My stash grows, but not in comparison to those wonderful weavers you have introduced us to. I know that some of these folks live simple lives, sometimes primitive, or in poverty. But I can’t help feeling envy for their abilities, and use of time to create such amazing cloth, and to wear it, too. If some of them do indeed live poverty lives, they certainly live rich lives in their cloth.
Thank you Laverne.
