Betty Davenport and I had connected online through my blog as Betty used to ead weaving trips to Bolivi in the 80s and 90s and enjoyed reading my tale about the place that she had visited and enjoyed. It ws wonderful to meet her in person. I got an impromptu ply split vraidig class from lind Hendrickson and go to see some of the pieces she writes about in her up and coming book on the subject. She has certainly changed my mnd about three dimensional pieces in this technique which had not previously attracted me although I must admit that the camel girts I haev seen in ply split braiding are my favorite examples.
