LEFT: Supplementary warp patterned bands at top and bottom with a tapestr woven piece in the middle. The motifs on the supplementary warp patterned ones closely resemble some of those that are in the book on Lithuanian sashes that Annie gave me. RIGHT: These look to me to be Andean pebble weave-they are doubled face and appear to be patterned with the same warp float structure and they have me baffled! The motifs are not any that I have seen on Andean belts and again resemble those hat see in the lithuanian sash belt. If anyone knows anything about belt with this structure being woven in Europe, I would love to hear from you.
