Backstrap Weaving- Crafting “on the road” and a video tutorial » margarita tibet

I was recently sent this image of a Tibetan nomad sling. I am no braiding expert but superficially, at least, the braid on the left looks exactly like the Margarita braid that I learned in Peru.
